Cape Fear Jetport is a privately-owned airport, open to the public & run by a really nice guy. They have a welcoming lounge with worn couches & a big yellow lab wagging it's tail when you walk in. They always have crew cars available, and throw you a set of keys without a second thought. The Dead End Saloon is about 2 miles away, on the waterfront of the Marina. You can sit outside and enjoy the ocean/bay breeze or relax inside at the bar. Great view of the boat traffic. The menu is basic and straight forward. The service is excellent too. Note to parents: there is a great park/playground on the way to the restaurant for kids to get their wiggles out before the return leg.
